This Privacy Policy describes how Four and Clover, LLC ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use BuenoSpanish.com and the Bueno Spanish mobile application (collectively, the "Platform").
Information We Collect
1.1. Information You Provide to Us. We collect your email address when you sign up for our newsletter or create an account. When creating an account, you will be asked to provide information about your learning goals and preferences. You may also provide additional information to us at any time through your use of the Platform.
1.2. Information Collected Automatically. When you use the Platform, we automatically collect certain technical information, including log data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages or screens visited), device information, and data collected through cookies and similar technologies.
1.3. Account and Learning Data. When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials (managed through our identity provider). As you use the Platform, we collect your learning activity — such as lessons completed, words studied, practice history, study streaks, and preferences like reminder settings and time zone — to operate the Platform's learning features and personalize your experience.
1.4. Usage Analytics. We use third-party analytics providers to understand how the Platform is used. This may include session replay — a recording of how you interact with the Platform, such as pages or screens viewed and elements tapped or clicked. Text you type and images are masked in these recordings. Analytics data may be associated with your account so we can improve features and diagnose problems. We do not use advertising identifiers and we do not track you across third-party apps or websites.
1.5. Purchase Information. If you purchase a subscription through the mobile app, payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never receive or store your credit card number or full payment details. We receive transaction records — such as the product purchased, price, subscription status, and renewal dates — through our subscription-management provider so we can grant you access to paid features.
1.6. Push Notification Tokens. If you enable push notifications in the mobile app, we collect a device push token so we can deliver notifications such as study reminders. You can disable push notifications at any time in the app's settings or your device settings.
Public Content
Any content you provide to us through the Platform, including comments, feedback, or other submissions, is intended for public consumption. We may share this content publicly or with other users of the Platform.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our Platform
- Send you technical notices, updates, and administrative messages
- Respond to your comments and questions
- Send you newsletters, email campaigns, and other marketing communications
- Send you push notifications about updates, new content, or promotions
- Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our Platform
- Recommend content that may be of interest to you
- Contact you about your account, new features, or other updates
How We Share Your Information
We may share your information:
- With service providers who perform services on our behalf
- To comply with legal obligations
- In connection with a business transaction such as a merger or sale of assets
- With our affiliates (companies under common ownership or control)

Your Choices
Notifications and reminders. You can turn off push notifications and email study reminders in the app's Account settings; push notifications can also be disabled in your device settings, and reminder emails include an unsubscribe link.
Marketing emails. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly. You can also control certain data collection through your browser or device settings.
Security
We take reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform.
You can delete your account and all associated personal data at any time from the Account screen in the mobile app ("Delete account and all my data"), or by emailing us at hola@buenospanish.com. This permanently removes your account, learning history, and personal information from our systems and unsubscribes you from our mailing lists. We honor deletion requests, and requests to withdraw consent to processing, within 30 days.
Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play must be cancelled through your Apple or Google account settings, and payment records held by those platforms are retained according to their own policies. We may retain limited information where required by law, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements, and we may retain anonymized or aggregated data that no longer identifies you.
Children's Privacy
Our Platform is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Third-Party Sites and Services
8.1. Our Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. If you click on these links, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.
8.2. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. Any information you provide to these third parties is governed by their privacy policies, not ours.
Advertising
We do not serve third-party advertising on the Platform, and we do not share your information with advertisers or ad networks for targeted advertising. If this changes, we will update this policy to describe the practices involved.
Sensitive Personal Data
We ask that you not send us, and you not disclose, any sensitive personal information (e.g., social security numbers, information related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or philosophical beliefs, health, biometrics or genetic characteristics, criminal background, or trade union membership) on or through the Platform or otherwise to us. If you do provide us with sensitive personal information, you consent to our processing and use of such information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Changes to this Policy
We may change this privacy policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the date at the top of the policy.
